About Me

I’m a holistic physical therapist with a unique blend of experience and skills. I’ve been teaching yoga since the late 1990’s initially practicing Iyengar and Ashtanga methods of yoga and receiving tuition in India with two notable yoga gurus. For many years I instructed group yoga classes from my own studio. I now specialise in private yoga therapy to focus on helping people with a myriad of health conditions; I also help athletes to improve flexibility, range of movement, core strength and balance. I’ve always had a passion for knowledge about personal wellbeing and physical performance due to my own health concerns and experiences as an athlete. This led me to broaden the expertise I can share by upskilling in functional nutrition, massage therapy and most recently in endurance sport coaching.

I took up endurance sport late in life, doing my first full Ironman event aged 51, and since then I’ve become an avid endurance athlete. Event highlights have included:

  • multiple Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 finishes
  • age group podiums at Ironman NZ, World Triathlon Championships, NZ Triathlon Championships.

I love physically challenging myself and getting out of my comfort zone. Endurance sport continues to provide me with new aspirations and adventures to test my own potential.
